We can define severity for Notification as part of SNMP Trap PDU only in V1 and V2 versions.
So there is no option for V3.In V1 and V2 we can mention the severity of Notification as part of SNMP
Trap PDU by creating a new Parser file.For Creating a new parser file click the parser editor button in
TrapViewer of MibBrowser.

Hi Muralikrishnan,

Does this mean for V3 traps, the severity is always "Clear"? This seems very strange as V3 is supposed to be "better" than V1 & V2, and loosing this important indication in the trap doesn't seem to justify.

I remember seeing other snmp tools have severity field for V3 traps. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Hi Jacob,

We don't have the feature of customizing the v3 traps in the trap parser of the TrapViewer. We will take this feature in our any of future release. If it is a V3 trap, the severity field is set as clear by default. However you can able to customize the v1 and v2 traps severity field using the trap parser.
