According to SNMP Standards, Traps doesn't have a feild as severity, so we can't get severity from the Trap received.

Actually severity is assigned by the Manager application, based on the information received via trap and their on own logic. So our SNMP API stack doesn't have a method to get the severity from the trap.

The GUI based TrapViewer in our product has a Trap parsing mechanism, using which you can configure/assign severity to the traps being received. Parser Editor tool will help you in configure trap parser, thus set the severity for the trap.
