AuthorizationAdmin setDescriptiveName method

Good night.

Need to create around 50 users in WebNMS so I used the UserConfig.sh script and the users were added to the system. Now, I needed to update the users' full names so I created a program which uses the setDescriptiveName method defined in the AuthorizationAdmin interface. The program is being executed with no exceptions and I am able to see the user's full name in the database. However, the updated full name is not being shown in Security Administration application and also, when the WebNMS processes are restarted, the full name in the database is restored to the default one, the user name; it seems the setDescriptiveName method does not make the change persistent in the system. Is there a workaround for this?

Hi Diaz,

Extremely sorry for the delayed response.
One thing to note is that when the server is restarted, the xml data is updated in database irrespective of what is present in DB.

Hence can you please check whether the data in securitydbData.xml is in sync with DB (after you update the descriptive name in DB).

If the XML data is not updated, then the descriptive name will be changed after a restart (even on a warn start).

Hence please share the following after the source is executed:
1. securitydbData.xml file

2.Output of "select * from UserConfTable"

3. Source code file.

The above details will help us to analyse the issue.
(We will try to give a working source within tomorrow).
