Altering 'Modify Statistic' dialog

Hello,

we have Performance Monitoring in our OMS. While in Performance tab, when you double click

a statistic or select from menu: 'Edit/Modify Statistic' a dialog pops up, where you can edit statistics

settings. We would like to modify this dialog (remove 'Write community' option, because it is irrelevant

for PM).

I found

<MENU-ITEM name="Modify Statistic" accelerator_modifier="CNTRL-SHIFT" shortcut_key="M" action_command="Modify Statistic" accelerator_key="M">

<OPERATION name="Modify Statistic"/>

in pollmenu.xml, but it doesn't tell what class should I modify.

Can we somehow modify this dialog, if so, how?

Hi,

There is no provision to customize the the fields in the Modify Statistics GUI directly.

You need to develop your own GUI for this with the needed fields and integrate this in the client. Here your GUI class should extend the DataFormCustomizer class and you have to override some methods. The detailed document on how to extend this DataFormCustomizer class is at: Ensure you perform all the steps explained in the doc.

As example you can refer to EventDetailsCustomizer.java file under "WebNMS\examples\clientCustomizationExamples" directory. This java files customizes the Event details form using DataFormCustomizer. Similarly you should customize the modify statistics form. In this directory refer the README.
